In addition to the good link already provided by "deepakdeshp", here is another more recent link: I just read your post and the good replies to it. MakeMKV is not in the Mint 17 repo, though, so I suppose it has to be removed with the command line. So is there any way to work around this obstacle?Ģ) In order to install a new version of MakeMKV, the old one has to be removed first, I assume. Yet if I am still to use MakeMKV in its current form, there might be no other alternative. That kind of attitude should have no place in Linux, in my view. Still I'm advised to register with, or else to install the latest MakeMKV release.ġ) Registering in order to be able to use a certain application is smacking of patronising typical of MS Windows. Pressing the alert 'OK' button results in MakeMKV disappearing from the screen altogether. An alert appears, stating that my version of MakeMKV is "too old" now. However, with the end of this job finally in sight, MakeMKV ceases cooperation, all of a sudden. MakeMKV has been installed on it, of fairly recently, and has been of great assistance since in speeding up transfer of my huge DVD collection to. My desktop computer platform is Linux Mint 17 "Qiana".
